BOARD MEETING

November 19, 2018

  1. Meeting called to Order by: Bill Abernathy at 6:38pm.
  2. Welcome & Recognition of members present: Bill Abernathy, Kenneth Kilgore, Glenn & Joan Fox, Tolbert Moore, Scott Kersh, Andrew Springer Lasaro & Elvia Lujan Jr.
    • Mac Mckinsey-Secretary, was introduced as POA's new board member.


    Approval of Minutes:

  3. Motion to approve September's minutes made by Mac McKinsey, second by Evon Nuss; the motion carried with an all-in favor.
  4. Financials: Evon presented Financial Report and states there are more funds in account than there was this time last year.
    Committee Reports:
    • ACC Committee Gary Petras submitted a check for concrete work. New residents may be requesting approval on an extension of their carport.
    • ROADS No report.

  5. Forming Roads Committee and election of Board officers:: Gale discussed the forming of a Roads Committee. The road committee will form a plan for roads and drainage; and submit this plan to the board. Gale will be contacting owners who have expressed an interest in this area.
  6. Late Fees:: Adding Late fees to Annual Assessments was discussed by those attended. A one-time fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per year was agreed upon. Deadline of April 30th will be given, before a late fee is added. Additional late fee will be added yearly if Annual Assessment is not paid in full, including previous year's late fee. Motion to approve late fees made by Evon Nuss, second by Mac McKinsey; the motion carried with an all-in favor.
  7. Potential Projects:: Evon discussed each email received by owners of what they thought needed improvements in the neighborhood. After discussion for each email, Evon will be reaching out to each and everyone of them to let them know their email was received and discussed and what may have been the outcome of the discussion. Drainage, Boat Launch/dock, Keypad gate for pool, PVC pipe at front gate and front gate lightning was deliberated.

    Additional::

    • Boat Launch/Side Dock: Gary Petras will be getting bids for repair of dock. Running steel beams of 4" pipe with sleeve on northside of pier was discussed. Adding a Breakwater structure was also conversed.
    • Trash fees:General consensus for all involved agreed to charging one hundred and twenty dollars ($120.00) for trash fee as a long-term solution. This will take effect in April 1, 2018 - March 31, 2019 invoices. Motion to approve trash fees made by Evon Nuss, second by Bill Abernathy; the motion carried with an all-in favor.b> Gary Petras will be getting bids for repair of dock. Running steel beams of 4” pipe with sleeve on northside of pier was discussed. Adding a Breakwater structure was also conversed.
    • Section D Trash Fees: Effective on April 1, 2018 residents with permanent structures will pay a trash fee of one hundred twenty dollars ($120.00) and residents without permanent structures will pay trash fee of sixty dollars ($60.00). Motion to approve trash fees in Section D made by Evon Nuss, second by Bill Abernathy; the motion carried with an all-in favor.
    • Fishing Pier: boards planking was mentioned by Lasaro Lujan Jr.
    • No Wake zone: Andrew adds having the No Wake Zone will also help with Beachwood’s cove.
    • Playground: Scott Kersh asked about an update of playground equipment. Board Committee has informed us no equipment has been sold.
