BEACHWOOD PROPERTY OWNERS' ASSOCIATION
MINUTES OF FALL MEETING
OCTOBER 21, 2006

 

THE FALL MEETING OF THE BEACHWOOD PROPERTY OWNERS’ ASSOCIATION WAS HELD AT THE CLUBHOUSE AT 2:OO P.M. ON OCTOBER 21, 2006. APPROXIMATELY 45 MEMBERS WERE PRESENT.

1. PRESIDENT ROGER OWEN CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AND MADE INTRODUCTIONS AND REVIEWED SOME OF THE ACTIVITIES DURING THE YEAR. HE ADVISED THAT HE WAS RESIGNING AS PRESIDENT AND DIRECTOR AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE MEETING DUE TO BUSINESS TAKING HIM OUT OF TOWN. HE THANKED EVERYONE FOR THEIR HELP DURING THE YEAR AND REGRETTED THAT IT WAS NECESSARY TO RESIGN.

2. RAYMOND CARTER GAVE THE FINANCIAL REPORT AND DISTRIBUTED COPIES OF THE FINANCIALS FROM APRIL - OCTOBER AND THE BUDGET FOR 2006. THE CASH BALANCE WAS $22,000 AND EXPECT A CASH BALANCE OF ABOUT $10,000 BEFORE COLLECTIONS BEGIN IN FEBRUARY FOR 2006 DUES. EXPENSES FOR THE PERIOD APRIL - OCTOBER 2006 WERE $114,000 VS. $63,000 FOR 2005 DUE TO ROAD, FURNITURE, CLUBHOUSE, SWIMMING POOL, DREDGING AND BOAT RAMP EXPENSES.

3. GARY PETRAS REPORTED ON ACC ACTIVITIES AND THAT FIVE HOUSES ARE NOW UNDER CONSTRUCTION.

4. THE NOMINATING COMMITTEE NAMED DAN PALM AND EVIE KINCAID TO FILL TWO DIRECTORS FOR THREE YEARS AND THAT ONE DIRECTOR COULD BE NOMINATED FROM THE FLOOR FOR A TWO YEAR TERM TO FILL THE VACANCY DUE TO THE RESIGNATION OF ROGER OWEN. THERE WERE NO NOMINATIONS FROM THE FLOOR AND THE BOARD WILL APPOINT A DIRECTOR AT A FUTURE BOARD MEETING.

5. DAN PALM AND EVIE KINCAID WAS DECLARED DIRECTORS BY ACCUMULATION FOR THREE YEAR TERMS.

6. ROGER OWEN DISCUSSED SAFETY IN BEACHWOOD CONCERNING, STOP/YIELD SIGNS, SPEED LIMITS, PEDESTRIANS AND CONTROL OF DOGS.
THE DATE FOR THE HOLIDAY PARTY WAS DISCUSSED AND SET FOR DECEMBER 4, 2006. ROBIN NIX WAS APPOINTED TO BE IN CHARGE OF ARRAIGNMENTS.

THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED AND EVERYONE ENJOYED VISITATION, HAMBURGERS/HOT DOGS
