BEACHWOOD PROPERTY OWNERS' ASSOCIATION
MINUTES OF THE FALL MEETING
OCTOBER 20, 2012

 

THE FALL MEETING OF THE BEACHWOOD PROPERTY OWNERS’ ASSOCIATION WAS HELD AT THE CLUBHOUSE AT 2:00 P.M. ON OCTOBER 20, 2012.

APPROXIMATELY 25 MEMBERS WERE PRESENT.

1. PRESIDENT CHRIS JACKSON CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AND MADE INTRODUCTION AND WELCOMED EVERYONE.

2. RAYMOND CARTER GAVE THE FINANCIAL REPORT AND DISTRIBUTED COPIES OF THE FINANCIALS FROM APRIL- OCTOBER AND THE YEAR ENDED MARCH 31, 2012. HE ALSO REVIEWED THE INCOME AND EXPENSES FOR THE YEAR

3. CHRIS JACKSON REVIEWED THE OPERATIONS FOR THE YEAR. THE MAJOR PROJECTS WERE INSTALLING NEW ROOF ON CLUB HOUSE, ADDING DSL ACCESS TO CAMERA SECURITY AT THE ENTRANCE AND PURCHASING MOWER IN ORDER FOR BEACHWOOD TO MOW THE ROADS

4. GARY PETRAS REPORTED ON ACC ACTIVITY, HE ADVISED THAT THE FIRST NEW HOUSE IN ABOUT FOUR YEARS HAS BEEN PERMITTED.

5. BILL ABERNATHY REPORTED ROAD PATCHING, CRACK FILLING AND CLEANING DITCHES WERE COMPLETED THIS YEAR..

6. THE NOMINATING COMMITTEE NAMED CHRIS JACKSON AND BILL ABERNATHY FOR RE-ELECTION FOR ANOTHER THREE YEARS. THERE WERE NO NOMINATIONS FROM THE FLOOR. CHRIS AND BILL WERE ELECTED UNANIMOUSLY..

7. CHRIS JACKSON DISCUSSED THE SETTLEMENT WITH MONARCH AND TO EXPECT ABOUT 4% INCREASE IN 2013 AND LARGER INCREASE IN 2014 HE ALSO DISCUSSED THE ACTIVITIES OF THE T.A.M.E.R GROUP WHICH OPPOSES THE RATE INCREASES.
THE GROUP DEPENDS ON CONTRIBUTIONS FROM MEMBERS TO FUND THE LEGAL AND OTHER EXPENSES OF THE GROUP.

8. THE CHRISTMAS PARTY IS SCHEDULED FOR DECEMBER 8. 2012.
