BEACHWOOD PROPERTY OWNERS' ASSOCIATION
MINUTES OF FALL MEETING
OCTOBER 20, 2007

 

THE FALL MEETING OF THE BEACHWOOD PROPERTY OWNERS’ ASSOCIATION WAS HELD AT THE CLUBHOUSE AT 2:00 PM ON OCTOBER 20, 2007.

APPROXIMATELY 24 MEMBERS WERE PRESENT.

1. VICE-PRESIDENT CHRIS JACKSON CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AND MADE INTRODUCTIONS.

2. RAYMOND CARTER GAVE THE FINANCIAL REPORT AND DISTRIBUTED COPIES OF THE FINANCIALS FROM APRIL - OCTOBER AND THE BUDGET FOR 2007. THE CASH BALANCE WAS $12,835 AND EXPECT A CASH BALANCE OF ABOUT ZERO BEFORE COLLECTIONS BEGIN IN FEBRUARY FOR 2007 DUES. EXPENSES FOR THE PERIOD APRIL - OCTOBER WERE $86,907 VS. $113,987 FOR 2006.

3. CHRIS JACKSON REPORTED ON ROAD PROJECTS FOR THE YEAR, ASPHALT PAVING OF ABOUT $53,000 AND ROAD REPAIR OF $4,000.

4. THE NOMINATING COMMITTEE NAMED ROBIN NIX TO BE RE-ELECTED TO FILL HER EXPIRING TERM AS DIRECTOR. THERE WERE NO NOMINATIONS FROM THE FLOOR. GARY PETRAS MADE A MOTION WITH A SECOND BY CAROL MIEGER TO DECLARE ROBIN NIX THE DIRECTOR BY ACCUMULATION FOR A THREE YEAR TERM.

5. BOB BROWN INQUIRED ABOUT THE OWNER OF THE CAR AT THE FRONT GATE FOR SALE AND HE WOULD CALL IF HE KNEW THE OWNER.

6. TOM MIEGER SUGGESTED THAT THE NEXT TIME THE ROADS WERE MOWED THE TRAILER STORAGE SHOULD BE MOWED.

6. CHRIS JACKSON DISCUSSED THE SAFETY IN BEACHWOOD, SPEEDING, STOP SIGNS AND THE CONTROL OF DOGS.

7. A.W. TALISH SUGGESTED THE BEACHWOOD SIGN AT THE TENNIS COURT BE RE-FURBISHED OR REMOVED.

8. RAYMOND CARTER REPORTED ON THE STATUS OF THE PROTEST ON MONARCH WATER RATE INCREASE.

9. THE CHRISTMAS PARTY DATE WAS SET FOR DECEMBER 8, 2007.

THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED AND REFRESHMENTS WERE SERVED.
