BEACHWOOD PROPERTY OWNERS' ASSOCIATION
MINUTES OF FALL MEETING
OCTOBER 15, 2005 - 2:00 P.M.

 

The Fall Meeting of the Beachwood Property Owners' Association was held at the Clubhouse at 2:00 PM on October 15, 2005. Approximately 50 Members were present.

1. PRESIDENT CAROL MIEGER CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AND WELCOMED ALL MEMBERS.

2. RAYMOND CARTER GAVE THE FINANCIAL REPORT AND DISTRIBUTED COPIES OF THE BUDGET VS. ACTUAL AND THE BUDGET FOR 2005. HE REPORTED THE AVERAGE INCOME FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS WAS ABOUT $70,000 AND AVERAGE OPERATING EXPENSES WAS ABOUT $40,000 EXCLUDING ROAD EXPENSES. THE CASH BALANCE WAS $102,312.

3. KEVIN PRINCE REPORTED THAT THE ROAD WORK FOR THIS YEAR WAS FINISHED EXCEPT WORK ON DEER RUN AND SECTION D AND POT HOLES ON SEVERAL STREETS. HE ALSO HANDED OUT ROAD REPORT FOR 2005.

4. GARY PETRAS REMINDED EVERYONE ABOUT PERMIT REQUIREMENTS, DEED RESTRICTIONS AND ROUTING OF CONSTRUCTIONS TRUCKS TO PROTECT THE ROADS.

5. LES MOSS OF THE NOMINATING COMMITTEE REPORTED THE NOMINATION FOR DIRECTOR OF JIM McKEE, ROGER OWEN AND DANNY HAMPEL TO FILL THE EXPIRING TERMS OF JIM McKEE AND CAROL MIEGER.
THERE WERE NO NOMINATIONS FROM THE FLOOR. EACH NOMINEE SPOKE AND GAVE THEIR QUALIFICATIONS AND THEIR PLANS TO IMPROVE BEACHWOOD.
PAPER BALLOT VOTE WAS TAKEN AND ROGER OWEN AND DANNY HAMPEL WERE THE WINNERS.

6. A MOTION AND SECOND WAS MADE TO REPAIR STEPS TO LAKE SO MEMBERS COULD ACCESS WATER ON WEST SIDE OF CLUBHOUSE. MEMBERS PRESENT VOTED BY HAND COUNT ON THE MOTION TO REPAIR THE STEPS. THE MOTION WAS APPROVED.

7. SOME MEMBERS INDICATED THEY WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A COPY OF THE NAME AND ADDRESS OF BEACHWOOD RESIDENTS. A COPY WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM RAYMOND CARTER.

THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED AND REFRESHMENTS AND VISITATION WERE ENJOYED.
